The Secret Lake District - Photography Tour - Only £250!

This September, I'll be running this course based at the fantastic Blencathra centre, in association with the Field Studies Council. We can offer this with two nights accommodation and photography guiding over three days for just £250 per person!

'The Secret Lake District' is a Photography Tour helping you explore further and deeper into the untapped potential of this unique area. The area is a world class destination with an abundance of mountains, Lakes and verdant green valleys. Despite this, many photographers never get the chance to explore beyond the crowded 'honey pots' and clichéd locations. This course is the antidote!

Guided by Rod Ireland, you'll benefit from his extensive knowledge of the area, developed through photography as well as his Mountain Leadership background. If you want to capture something different on your trip, this course is for you. The focus is on getting you to the right places at the right time and maximising photographic opportunities. That said, Rod is always on hand and happy to provide photography help and tips along the way for those who are less experienced with their camera.

Friday Evening
Introduction, Course overview, Slideshow, Q&A, chat.

We'll visit up to three different photography locations, each one being specially selected to offer a different view of the Lake District. Lunch will be taken 'in the field'. The schedule and locations will remain flexible in order to make the most of the prevailing weather and light conditions. Back at the centre, the evening session will review some of the days images and if time and conditions permit, we'll head outside for a brief practical session on taking low light/night images.

We'll be back outside and journey to our next photography location in order to
make the most of the beautiful landscape and to seek out those hidden photographic gems.
When we return to the centre, we'll consider a number of different resources you can use to
help you get the most from an area when planning your own photography trips.
